Insights for the New Year
09/01/2023
It’s time to start planning ahead by thinking about what will be trending in 2023, here’s the insights from Akula’s Design Studio…
1. An Emphasis on Wellness
Wellness is a driving factor of design for 2023. Enhancing convenience and serenity can significantly improve mental well-being and will be a focus for the year ahead.
Here at Akula, we are determined to deliver comfortable and relaxing furniture, that's modern, high-quality and practical. View our lounging range.
2. The rise of ‘Bleisure’ travellers
Many people are now taking advantage of their recent workplace flexibility by extending holidays that blend business work and leisure. Nothing quite increases productivity like being out in the fresh air, therefore hotels need to cater to this new audience of ‘bleisure’ travellers in 2023 by tripling up their outdoor areas as an office, leisure and events space.
With Akula’s mix and match collections, our extensive outdoor furniture offers on-trend, contemporary and flexible solutions at every level.
3. All day dining
Now travel is back on for most, busy schedules and the demand for convenience and customization are on the increase, therefore it’s no surprise that all-day dining will be huge in 2023.
Allow guests to stay cool in the shade with Akula’s range of parasols, along with it’s marine-grade outdoor furniture that can survive being outside 365 days a year in all the elements
4. Infusing local culture into guests’ stays
After the recent pause of travel, guests are now looking for hotels that their design reflects the history and culture of the place where the property is. Experiences that celebrate and embrace the uniqueness of the destination will enhance the guest experience.
‘Custom by Akula’ allows you to design your outdoor furniture to exactly the style of the local area allowing the design to reflect the uniqueness of the destination.
