Sustainability is deeply ingrained in our ethos, reflected in that most of our furniture is 100% recyclable.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
To ensure the highest standards, we manufacture our products in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. But it doesn't stop there. We have embraced a hands-on, action-oriented approach throughout every aspect of Akula Living, shaping our company's mindset and driving positive change.
Fabric
Sunbrella's fabric production operates solar arrays that collectively generate 1.5 megawatts of energy, capable of producing enough energy to power over 150 homes. Their unique coloring process not only makes fabrics fade resistant, but conserves more water than conventional dyeing processes.Their facilities are focused on minimizing waste, already diverting over 90% of waste and continue to expand these efforts in the near future.
Laminate
Our manufacturing partner Trespa, are committed to reducing the amount of energy required to produce our laminates, aiming to decrease the consumption of natural gas by 20% over the next five years by carefully optimising the HPL manufacturing process.
Wicker
Rehau Group have a 90% recycling rate for return materials in production of wicker. A continuous investment in state-of-the-art technology and equipment is made to ensure design, durability and quality is complete with energy efficiency and resource conservation.
Sling
Our partners, Serge Ferrari comply with applicable norms and regulations, but go beyond these goals to guarantee environmental excellence. Serge Ferrari has created S+, a tool to establish the sanitary and environmental profile of each of its composite materials. S+ is conform to the environmental communication norm, ISO 14021: exact, verifiable, pertinent, not misleading.
